Alachua County Homeschool Fair
***Register Here***
Everyone else, please keep an eye on this space to learn more about what we have in the works for the homeschool fair. We plan to occupy Rosa B. Williams/Union Academy Recreation Center (often colloquially dubbed as Yopp!, since that amazing NFP operates the space) on August 24, from 9am to 2pm. Vendors with appeal to homeschoolers will be there showing off their wares. Homeschool groups will be demonstrating their offerings to potential members. Non-profit groups with educational appeal will table as well. We'll have live entertainment provided by vendors as well as use of the playground space.
We'll keep you posted here, so check back soon to learn more about our exciting Alachua County Homeschool Fair!

Our new site!
Friends of Alachua County Homeschoolers has made a shift to a new platform, which we hope will make it easier for us to share information that is relevant to families in the Alachua County area. On this new site, we have lots of great options for learning more about homeschooling.
Our "Why Homeschool?" page explains some of the benefits of homeschooling.
Our "Getting Started" page details what you need to know to get started homeschooling in Alachua County, Florida.
Our "Resources" page talks about various resources available to help support homeschooling families in our area, including contact information for finding evaluators, curriculum options, homeschool support groups, local extracurricular activities, etc.
Our "FAQs" section helps answer some of the questions we are asked most often about homeschooling.
Our "About Us" page tells what we do as Friends of Alachua County Homeschoolers--and what you can participate in doing to help yourself and other current and prospective homeschooling families in our area.
Our Calendar is now up and running on the site. See postings for local events or share what your own group is planning. Let's come together and celebrate all that life has to teach us!
We hope that you appreciate our new site. If there is anything you would really like to see included on this site that you do not yet see, please use the Contact Us tool below to let us know how we can improve the site. You can also use this to find out how you can become a part of the dynamic environment we are working to create to facilitate homeschooling for anyone and everyone. We encourage you to join our ranks!
